National motivational speaker and prevention specialist Ray Lozano will visit three North River schools on January 19, 2018.
Lozano is a former comedian known for putting a humorous spin on serious topics relating to substance abuse which resonates with children. He will be speaking to students at Palmetto High School about setting and achieving goals; then he will go to Manatee School for the Arts where he will talk about the dangers of alcohol and marijuana; and finally, the students at Buffalo Creek Middle School will hear about the dangers of marijuana.
The Florida State Elks Association sponsored Lozano’s 5-day Florida visit; he will visit schools in Charlotte County four days and then come to Manatee County for one day. Lozano’s visit is timely as the following week is the National Alcohol and Drug Facts Week, so his presentations will be a great way to kick off a week full of prevention in Manatee County!
