Concerned about the negative effects that alcohol, tobacco and other drugs are having on your community? Join us and make a difference!
The Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition (MCSAC) was founded in 2001. Our mission is to develop community partnerships that implement comprehensive evidenced based campaigns and strategies to reduce substance abuse and promote health and wellness throughout the county, especially among youth. We share information, provide support, enhance skills, increase awareness, change attitudes, affect policies, improve access to resources, enhance developmental assets, and reduce risks related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse (including prescription).
Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition is a 501C3 and receives funding support from the Office of National Drug Control Policy Drug Free Communities Support Program/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, the Florida Department of Children and Families, and through local contributions.
